Growing up in a German catholic family in Wisconsin, most gatherings consisted of meals with bratwurst and beers. At least those are my fondest memories. My first step into the culinary world and hospitality was in my family’s restaurant “Luedtkes Bratskellar” in west bend, WI. GM/Partner: Margareth Van Der Veen

Growing up in the southern Netherlands near the border of Germany, I was raised on German cuisine. When I was a teenager, my family moved to Canada where my career in hospitality later began. Over 20 years in restaurants, I have worked at such places as the iconic Delilah’s in Vancouver BC and Molina in Mill Valley. Most recently, I managed Seaside Metal in Guerneville. I have always wanted to be a part of a restaurant that serves the food I cook at home where I can treat guests like I would at my house. BROT is my opportunity.
